Una voce che ha inciso con Nicola Conte, fino all'album Natural (Far Out Recordings, 2016), e un pianista cresciuto alla scuola di Franco D'Andrea. Si conoscono dagli anni del Fez. Dal festival al club, fino al recital in sala, cambiano energia senza cambiare gusto: lei passa dal sussurro alla piena voce, lui tiene insieme un gran coda e un basso synth che spinge il groove. Sempre con un'idea fissa, oltre allo spessore: comunicare gioia. Le melodie italiane sono la lingua del cuore. Qui incontrano altre lingue, il soul, il jazz, il groove, attraverso l'orecchio di chi ha passato una vita dentro la musica afroamericana. Nessuno stravolgimento: canzoni amate e rispettate, che ritrovano gusto e senso e si aprono a qualcosa di nuovo. In fondo è quello che il jazz ha sempre fatto con i suoi standard. Ideazione, scelta dei brani, arrangiamenti e direzione musicale sono di Pietro Vincenti.Italian melodies are the language of the heart. Here they meet other languages, soul, jazz, groove, through the ear of someone who has spent a lifetime inside African-American music. No distortion: songs loved and respected, finding their taste and meaning again and opening up to something new. After all, it is what jazz has always done with its standards. Concept, song choice, arrangements and musical direction are by Pietro Vincenti.

A metà degli anni Novanta, da Roma, il dj Giancarlino la fece conoscere al Quintetto X. Con lei il gruppo incise Novo Esquema da Bossa (1995), il disco che la presentò al pubblico e da cui partì il suo percorso internazionale. La collaborazione non si è mai interrotta: in duo, voce e pianoforte, come al tramonto del Locomotive Jazz Festival a Taranto, e con la band.In the mid-Nineties, from Rome, DJ Giancarlino introduced her to Quintetto X. With her the group recorded Novo Esquema da Bossa (1995), the album that introduced her to the public and launched her international career. The collaboration has never stopped: as a duo, voice and piano, as at sunset at the Locomotive Jazz Festival in Taranto, and with the band.
