Pietro Vincenti (Ostuni, 1970) è pianista, compositore e arrangiatore. Appena maggiorenne si trasferisce a Milano, dove studia filosofia alla Statale ed entra al C.P.M. nel corso di pianoforte jazz di Franco D'Andrea. Sarà poi chiamato come pianista accompagnatore nei corsi di canto jazz di Tiziana Ghiglioni, al C.P.M. e in altre scuole.Pietro Vincenti (Ostuni, 1970) is a pianist, composer and arranger. He moved to Milan as soon as he came of age, reading philosophy at the State University and joining Franco D'Andrea's jazz piano course at C.P.M. He was later hired as staff accompanist for Tiziana Ghiglioni's jazz voice courses, at C.P.M. and elsewhere.

Dal 1993 è pianista, compositore e arrangiatore del Quintetto X, gruppo di punta del movimento FEZ di Nicola Conte, con cui pubblica "Novo Esquema da Bossa". Con quel gruppo arriva un'intensa attività concertistica nei club e nei dancefloor italiani — Horus e Palladium a Roma, Propaganda e UB a Milano, Cap Creus a Imola, Fillmore a Cortemaggiore — e una mini tournée nel Regno Unito: Jazz Café e Mambo Inn a Londra, poi Sheffield, Leeds, Edimburgo, Croydon, Ascot. Nel 1996 il Festival Estivo di Dubrovnik. Seguono il trio acustico pubblicato dalla giapponese Albore Jazz, il progetto d'autore Blue Mandala e i tour asiatici per le rappresentanze diplomatiche italiane. Negli anni successivi all'esplosione del movimento FEZ, quando in Puglia si faceva moltissima musica dal vivo, ha suonato per anni più di centocinquanta serate a stagione.Since 1993 he has been pianist, composer and arranger of Quintetto X, the leading group of Nicola Conte's FEZ movement, releasing "Novo Esquema da Bossa". In 1996, the Dubrovnik Summer Festival. Later came the acoustic trio released by Japan's Albore Jazz, the Blue Mandala songwriting project, and the Asian tours for the Italian diplomatic missions. In the years following the rise of the FEZ movement, when live music was everywhere in Puglia, he played more than a hundred and fifty nights a season for years on end.

Laurea in Filosofia all'Università Statale di Milano; diploma accademico di II livello in Pianoforte Jazz al Conservatorio "Tito Schipa" di Lecce, con lode e menzione d'onore. La tesi — L'evento del tempo, la danza del corpo: ritualità, socialità e invenzione nelle musiche jazz — indaga il jazz come pratica rituale e collettiva, non solo come genere.Degree in Philosophy from the State University of Milan; second-level academic degree in Jazz Piano from the "Tito Schipa" Conservatory in Lecce, with honours and distinction. His thesis — The Event of Time, the Dance of the Body: ritual, sociality and invention in jazz musics — examines jazz as a ritual and collective practice, not only as a genre.
