Ho sempre amato la grande tradizione del piano solo jazz, che considero una tappa imprescindibile per ogni pianista contemporaneo. I have always loved the great tradition of solo jazz piano, which I consider an essential stage for any contemporary pianist.
Forse per questo, da anni, ho la fortuna di essere chiamato a suonare in contesti diversi e stimolanti: dalla corte di un'antica masseria pugliese al tramonto, al cuore di un vigneto nel giorno del solstizio d'estate; fino alla riva del mare, sotto la luce dell'eclissi lunare più lunga del secolo. Perhaps for this reason I have had the good fortune, for years, of being called to play in varied and stimulating settings: the courtyard of an old Apulian masseria at sunset, the heart of a vineyard on the day of the summer solstice, the shoreline under the light of the longest lunar eclipse of the century.
Il mio obiettivo è trasformare ogni spazio che ospiti un buon pianoforte — preferibilmente a coda — in un vero e proprio palcoscenico. My aim is to turn any space with a good piano in it — preferably a grand — into a genuine stage.
Grazie a questa ricchezza di stimoli il mio stile si è evoluto oltre la forma "tipica" degli standard jazz. In quello che ho scelto di definire "Il Giardino Musicale all'Italiana" confluiscono generi e atmosfere differenti. Thanks to this wealth of stimuli my playing has grown beyond the "typical" shape of the jazz standard. What I have chosen to call "The Italian Musical Garden" brings together different genres and atmospheres.

Poesia, intensità e leggerezza convivono nello stesso trattamento: è quel passaggio continuo, più che il repertorio, a tenere insieme una serata. Poetry, intensity and lightness live inside the same treatment: it is that continual shifting, more than the repertoire, that holds an evening together.
Le letture sono sempre estemporanee. Ogni brano è ripensato attraverso arrangiamenti personali e inusuali, animati dal gusto per l'improvvisazione ispirato dai maestri che più amo: Bobby Timmons, McCoy Tyner, Keith Jarrett, Brad Mehldau. The readings are always extemporaneous. Every piece is rethought through personal, unusual arrangements, driven by a taste for improvisation learned from the masters I love most: Bobby Timmons, McCoy Tyner, Keith Jarrett, Brad Mehldau.
